Welcome from The SchnArnoTicks

To celebrate two years since the beginning of the SchnArnoTicks (our wedding on September 27, 2008), we returned to Klondike Park near Augusta, Missouri on Sunday, September 26, 2010 for a balloon release to mark the event.

We took 40 balloons in all, 4 each that had the name of one of the 10 individual SchnArnoTicks written on the back of a note giving the date, location and reason for the release and giving three ways to contact us if a balloon was found. The finder could "like" our Facebook page and leave a comment there, could send an email or send notification through regular snail mail.

Our Wedding

What a wonderful, beautiful day. I will never forget all the fun we had with family and friends. The mishaps and unexpected events actually added to the fun of the day, believe it or not. It was definitely uncharacteristic of me to not freak out & get down about the fact that things kept going wrong. But I knew what was important & all that other stuff doesn't matter. A lot of stuff went undone, the music wouldn't work, the arbor fell over, we were shy about 15 people. Oh well, who cares. The few friends that made it actually showed that they were really truly friends you could count on. Thanks to Bridget for being the support and comforting voice I needed to make it through the hectic day. Oh and I have given Bridget some new titles. Ahem' here goes. Bridget the Florist, Hairdresser, Pinch Hit Photographer, Bartender, and Clean up Crew but most of all. . . Friend! Thanks sweetie. Also, thanks to Kelly & Mark for bringing the busload of kids [lol] and added to the joy of the evening. Hopefully, someday I can attend both of your weddings and be as special to you as you have been to me.

Thanks loads to Caryn, Casey, and Eriny for helping out with setting up & with the kids. You are the greatest friends that my kids could ever have. And also, Mike & my friends as well. I would like to also add thanks to Stan & his wife Charlotte, who were very generous friends to Mike and I. The kids would like to extend a gigantic thank you to Tex & tell him that he is now their Best Friend. The WII was a big hit. LOL

A big thanks to our familys. The best family in the whole world. Thanks G-ma for all your help & Papa for being there for us & for my mom, Grandma Sharon for making sure you were here to support me & love me. Thanks to Jessica & Amanda for continuing to be in our lives & knowing that you will always be a part of our family, forever. To anyone I didn't mention, it will come to me eventually & I will kick myself. But trust me, I am so thankful to everyone for making it an awesome day.

Last but not least, to our photographer Jodi. You were a real trooper. Just going with the flow through the insanity. Thanks for at least trying to see about retrieving our arbor from the side of the cliff. :) And thanks for taking the most beautiful pictures of Mike and I. We will cherish these memories forever thanks to you.

2 more days, can you believe it?

Well, hello world! 2 more days, can you believe it? And I will be Mrs. Michael A. Arnold. And when someone says sign here I will probably write Suzanne Schneirla and then oops! . . . scratch that. It's Suzanne Arnold now.
I know the wedding will be beautiful & everything we wanted. Regardless of what happens. I will enjoy our day & realize that it is only one day in our life. A lifetime that will be filled with many more days which will probably equal or even eclipse our wedding day. Possibly the birth of our 1st grandchild. :)

Even so, it is going to be a special day that I will remember always. Thanks to my wonderful husband to be. . . who insisted that I have this. Even though I protested, he said I deserved to have something special. How wonderful is he, right? :)

I have a few pictures to share. Mostly from our family outing to Six Flags. I know some people saw them on Kodak. But these are some of my favorites from that day!

Everybody wish all of us luck on Saturday! This will probably be my last blog for awhile. After the wedding we are heading to Louisiana. Yay! :)

Isn't Love Grand??

Isn't love grand? I really do think this is the real thing guys. I've tried like heck to tell myself the true love is impossible. And in all my efforts to sabotage the good thing I've found (lol) just kidding! Well, it's just not going to work. I've actually found it. The real thing! The true love of my life. :) I just wanted to say. . . No! I'm not nervous about Saturday. Yes! I am extremely exicited. But most of all. . . I'm the happiest I've ever been in my entire life. My mixed up, incomplete life has come full circle right to the place I always wanted it to be. I am going to be married to someone who gives of himself unselfishly, loves me unconditionally, and will give me my unending dream of family and commitment. Wooo! that's a mouthfull. Whatta think? Should I say that at the wedding? :)

This morning Mikayla woke up to an interesting dilemna!!! Our duplex over in St. Peters was in the midst of a flood. Our neighbor pounded on her window at about 8:00 in the morning and when she looked out, the entire back yard was flooded.

As I found out last winter, we have a flooding problem. [of which, my house apparently gets the brunt of] The neighbors basement has been completed flooded twice in 7 years! But so far, I hadn't had that happen. Only got as far as reaching the bottom of the basement windows.

Until this morning, that is. Mike went over to help Mikayla move stuff out of the basement. The carpets are completely saturated and water was starting to reach the storage room in the back of my finished basement!

Yippppeeee! Yesterday was picture day for the Schnarnoticks. We had so much fun with Jodi, the photographer for our wedding. Which, by the way is in 2 weeks. Ahhhhhh!

She has put up a sneak preview of Saturdays family session where all 10 of the Schnarnoticks managed to attend. We can't wait to see the rest. :)

We are also getting rather excited about the wedding. Everything is coming together nicely & it is going to be a great day. So soon you will be able to see all the pictures from the big day.

Wish us luck with the cramming session of the next few weeks trying to get the rest of the details planned!!!!

P.S. Mike asked me to elaborate on the title of this blog! LOL Jodi, the photographer, being a mommy needed to know David's middle name. . . which would hopefully help her with re-directing his attention a little better. :) David Arthur!!! David Arthur!!!
